The 2nd edition of Miro in Cube will take place from February 20th to February 22nd, 2019. Participants will have 56 hours to create a startup focused on tourism flow management. What’s new about this year’s edition? The innovation contest led by the University of Perpignan Via Domitia and organized by the Miro Programme will be held at 3 locations – Perpignan, Palma and Barcelona.

The event will take place simultaneously at the three locations of the cross-border network of incubators in the Euroregion :

  • UPVD IN CUBE in Perpignan
  • The PARC BIT in the Balearic Islands
  • PENINSULA in Barcelona

The final round will take place on February 25th at the 4YFN Forum in Barcelona during the Mobile World Congress.

Miro in cube is

  • A 4-day hackathon, including 3 days of teamwork (from February 20th to February 22nd), with mentoring and workshops led by experts from a variety of backgrounds.
  • The winners: three local projects will be chosen as winners.
  • International final round at 4YFN in Barcelona: the 4th day of the contest (February 25th) will be dedicated to the grand finale between the 9 winning projects from the 3 cities. A special innovation prize will be handed out.

A mobile application to run the contest was created by the Miro Programme in order to encourage interaction between participants and coaches before, during and after the contest.

Its mains functions are to present the program, communicate information about upcoming events (workshops, lunches, menus, etc.), view coach and participant profiles (skills, contact information, team composition, social media, etc.), set up meetings with coaches and participate in video conferences
